Letter to my Son – April 2013

Dear Son,
This was a fun month for you! You were finally able to fully enjoy the Winter Fair this year.  Petting the bunnies, baby goats, seeing the horses and the dog show – you loved it!
You weren’t quite ready to hold a baby chick or bunny on your own yet, so we helped you.  But you really liked chasing them!
One of your favorite things to do is go for a walk with Grandpa.  In fact, you ask about it all the time: “walk with gappa?”  Hopefully soon, the weather will be nice enough to walk all the way to the park (without snow pants!)
You love doing whatever your sister is doing, watching whatever your sister is watching, and eating whatever she is eating (which usually isn’t much).  But at the same time, you want whatever she’s got.  You both are starting to fight a little, that sibling rivalry over the red car, the cracker, or the iPad.  And you are a little firecracker, you fight hard for what you want!
Easter egg hunting was also a favorite event this month.  You had a mini egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa’s (inside, since the snow was still on the ground), and then one at home:)
I think you’d be just as happy if there were no treats in the eggs, you just enjoyed looking for them and adding them to your pail.  Your sister, on the other hand, loves to crack them open to find whatever is inside:)
Be Silly, Be Honest, Be Kind.”

I am excited to be a part of “letters to our children” blog circle with other photographers and moms. We write monthly letters in honor of our children and hope you enjoy reading them with us. Please head over to my friend, Christina Guzman‘s blog for her monthly letter to her daughter.

cmguzman - it looks like he had no problems filling up his basket. I love it when the kids are still in wonder about the egg more than the treat.

Catherine McAteer - Hi Nicole! So nice to finally see some more photos of your kids. Love the storyboard that you’ve put together for the egg hunt.
