Fall is here! This month we visited family in Canada, got to play with cousins and grandparents and go to your first movie at the theatre!
You and I had a “girls night” and we went to see Smurfs 2 earlier in the month and then this past weekend we went again to see Planes. You enjoy picking your outfit, putting on some jewelry and dressing up for “Girls’ Night”. Seriously, some days I wonder if I have a teenager instead of a four year old! And I am not sure where you get all this “dressing up” stuff from, because your mommy’s favorite outfit is jeans and a t-shirt. And the last time I wore a necklace was 2011. LOL. My favorite moment was when you rifled though my closet to pick out MY outfit. First the dress I wore to a wedding this summer, then the sparkly, beaded low cut black top and finally the shiny silk pink blouse. All of which were beautiful, but I would certainly have been a little over-dressed for the Smurfs movie. We finally settled on a casual, but flowy flower top with jeans. You aren’t too bad at coordinating outfits, I must say. You may be called upon to get me ready for my next date-night with daddy!
I love that you are such a ‘girlie girl’, since I am so not. Your penchant for dresses (frillier the better), pretty shoes and jewelry makes me want to be 4 again!
One thing I didn’t mention in last month’s letter was the arrival of 6 new additions to our family. Our dog had puppies! It was a bit of a surprise, as we had just welcomed her into our family only weeks before this! She came to us so skinny, so we put her on a high fat dog food. Even then, she only gained a little bit of weight, not near enough for us to suspect what she was hiding in there! It was a blessing though, we have embraced this new adventure and have enjoyed watching the puppies over the past several weeks.
A couple of your favorite things you did this month: Playing at all your grandparents’ houses (they love taking you to the park, playing dollhouse, dress-up and swimming), visiting with your cousins (they just moved up this way from out east and are about the same age as you) and watching the puppies play and grow.
I love you to the moon and back,
